Position OverviewYork Hospital is seeking an experienced ASU/PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Critical Care setting.
The RN will provide post-procedure care, monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, and support safe recovery and transfer to the next level of care.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
Assess vital signs, pain levels, and overall patient condition.
Recognize and respond to changes in patient status.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other nursing staff.
Participate in the required weekend call rotation.
RequirementsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 2 years of experience in ASU/PACU or Critical Care.
Current BLS/BCLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Current PALS certification.
Availability for four 9-hour day shifts per week.
Willingness to participate in weekend call rotation.
