Job Details:

• Work in Tower 2, a 60-bed mixed acuity cardiac and telemetry unit

• Care for patients 18 years and older recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries and interventions

• Handle post open-heart surgery, ventricular assist devices, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients

• Manage cardiac medical patients including post-interventional cardiology procedures, heart failure, and acute coronary syndrome

• Provide intermediate level of care for patients requiring specialized cardiac monitoring

• Patient ratios: 4 patients during days, 5 patients during nights and weekends

• May be required to float to other departments including medical surgical and emergency department hold as needed

• Weekend coverage as needed with 4 weekend shifts per contract

• Holiday coverage as needed

• 12-hour orientation required

• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC only)

• EPIC EMR experience required

• Pennsylvania nursing license required with no license hits accepted

• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours to complete)

• Manager interview required after clinical screening

This healthcare facility operates a specialized 60-bed cardiac and telemetry stepdown unit that provides comprehensive care for adult patients recovering from complex cardiac and vascular procedures. The facility features advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities and specializes in caring for patients with conditions including chest pain, heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, and those requiring ventricular assist devices. The unit is equipped with specialized cardiac equipment and maintains interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
