American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room role requiring Level II trauma experience and proficiency with the Da Vinci Xi robotic system.

• Operating Room unit in a teaching hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Call requirement of 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix with 30-minute response time
• Weekend requirement of 3-4 shifts within a 6-week matrix, which may fall on days, evenings, or nights
• Floating as needed
• Holiday coverage as needed, which may include day, evening, or night shifts

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of experience, with at least 2 years post-orientation
• Level II Trauma experience required (over 1 year)
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must function independently without refresher training on the Da Vinci Xi robotic system
• Familiarity with the DV5 Da Vinci robot is a plus
• Must function independently across multiple specialties including Robotics, Orthopedics, General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart), and Trauma
• Proficiency in robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology specialties required

• Scrub and circulate responsibilities preferred
• May provide care for COVID-positive patients
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Travelers expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• RTO requests limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Black Friday time off cannot be approved;
  Christmas week RTO also restricted
• Candidates are reviewed by clinical staff for fit before being presented to the unit manager for final decision
• Travel pairs may be accommodated but matched schedules are not guaranteed
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius, though at a reduced rate
