American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Da Vinci robotic surgery proficiency and Level I/II trauma experience for a hospital surgical department.

• Operating Room department within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix with 30-minute response time
• Weekend requirement of 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix, which may fall on days, evenings, or nights
• Holiday coverage as needed across day, evening, or night shifts
• Floating required as needed
• Expected to scrub and circulate
• 1:1 patient ratio
• May care for COVID-positive patients

• Active RN license (Compact or PA state license required)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of experience, with at least 2 years out of orientation
• Level II Trauma experience required (over 1 year);
  Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must function independently with no refresher training needed on the Da Vinci Xi robotic system; familiarity with the DV5 Da Vinci system is a plus
• Must be proficient in robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology surgical specialties
• Must function independently across multiple specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart), and trauma

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for a wide range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Cannot be approved for RTO on Black Friday or the week of Christmas; scheduling for Christmas Day itself cannot be guaranteed off
• Travelers expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Maximum RTO of 7 days
• Candidates are clinically screened before being presented to the hiring manager for final review
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius, offered at a lower bill rate
• Travel pairs may be submitted together, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
