American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN with 2+ years of invasive cardiology experience and Epic charting skills for a high-volume cardiovascular unit.

• Work in a hospital Invasive Cardiology unit comprised of 4 dedicated Cardiac Cath Labs, 3 dedicated EP labs, and 2 shared cath/EP labs with 33 prep/recovery bays
• Unit completes over 6,000 procedures per year including complex coronary interventions, VAD/ECMO, TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping, complex ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, and peripheral intervention
• Day shift, working 8 or 10-hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Weekends as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Call required with a 30-minute response time, placed on one of six call teams (no more than every 6th weekend)
• No holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact), PA license accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in procedures such as ACT monitoring, cardioversion, circulating, EKG/ECG interpretation, sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, right and left heart catheterizations, and IABP placement/removal
• Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and emergency medications
• Skilled in IV therapy including starting/maintaining IVs and blood product administration

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity invasive cardiology environment, including diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures
• May care for COVID-positive patients
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Must complete and pass an EKG exam within 72 hours of signing the travel contract
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
