Are you an expert in steel grades and supply chain management? Our manufacturing client is looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement strategies, maintain optimal inventory levels, and drive cost reduction initiatives. In this critical role, you’ll ensure material availability for production while building strong supplier relationships and implementing efficient stocking programs. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operational success and cost efficiency in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

• Manage inventory: maintain accurate stock levels for steel and commodities, ensuring timely replenishment and minimal disruptions.
• Optimize supply chain: develop and manage supplier agreements, consignment programs, and sourcing strategies aligned with quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Support sales & production: provide accurate pricing, lead times, and material availability for quotations and customer inquiries.
• Drive cost savings: lead purchasing cost‑reduction efforts and negotiate competitive contracts.
• Ensure compliance: maintain purchasing procedures, supplier performance records, and ERP data accuracy.
• Problem‑solve: source alternate materials when needed and coordinate logistics for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Lead team: supervise purchasing staff and foster a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years in materials planning or purchasing within a manufacturing environment; strong knowledge of steel grades required.
