Responsibilities
  • Project Cost Control:
    • Engage with project management team to develop accurate budgets and manpower forecasts for multi‑year construction projects.
    • Monitor and control indirect costs by performing budget‑to‑actual analysis weekly; identify and eliminate root causes for variances.
    • Establish accurate cash‑flow forecast to ensure the project remains cash‑positive; monitor monthly and adjust forecast as needed.
    • Ensure accurate and timely complex multi‑million cost‑plus billing submissions on a monthly basis.
  • Project Procurement Planning:
    • Lead procurement planning effort; work closely with project management to develop a detailed procurement plan after award, including compliance and logistics.
    • Assist the project team in procuring the job according to plan before 20% completion.
    • Perform monthly analysis of actual purchases versus plan; ensure acceptable justification prior to adjusting the plan.
  • Work Breakdown Structure:
    • Assist project management in establishing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) at award.
    • Maintain WBS responsibilities at the project level.
    • Ensure WBS remains maintained throughout project duration.
  • Project Controls:
    • Assist the project team with monthly financial forms:
      • Provide cost analysis and require explanations of variances from the project team.
      • Help prepare monthly financial forms for review with management.
      • Ensure acceptable justification for all variances (fades/gains).
Qualifications
  • The incumbent must have five years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail in completing work tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own deadlines.
  • Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Use of accounting principles to solve problems.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 5+ years of experience.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently on given assignments and ask questions as needed.

Location / Travel
  • Full‑time on‑site position in York, SC.
  • Occasional travel to other project sites.
