Machine Operator - 2nd shift

MUST HAVE MACHINE OPERATING EXPERIENCE WITH STRONG MATH SKILLS

This position is located in York, South Carolina

This shift works Monday-Friday, 5:00 pm - 3:00 am (10-hour shifts)

General Purpose of Position: Responsible for all of the necessary functions to manufacture tubes and cores and move materials around the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Set up and operate a variety of equipment, including but not limited to:
  Winding equipment, Recutting equipment, Baler, and Forklift.
• Manufacture and package tubes and cores according to order specifications.
• Check quality on every order, fill out quality and production sheets, and any other necessary paperwork.
• Operate forklift to move supplies and finished goods.
• Load and unload shipments, paying attention to special packaging instructions.
• Complete shipping/receiving paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
• Keep area around machine and all equipment clean and properly maintained.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED preferred. If less than high school education, must be able to read and write in English. Must have at least 6 months of machine operating experience or training.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be on their feet for up to 12 hours per day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with assistance if required.
