Payroll Administrator

The Opportunity:

Elite Search Associates are proud to be working with a well‑established and expanding business on the outskirts of York who are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their warm and welcoming payroll team. This part‑time role (20 - 25 hours) is fully office‑based and offers flexible start/finish times, to balance work and life!

What You’ll Be Doing

* Processing high volume weekly and monthly payrolls from start to finish using SAGE (don’t worry — SAGE training can be provided!)

* Organising your own daily tasks, with additional support from the Payroll Manager whenever needed

* Handling SMP, SSP, SPP and auto‑enrolment pensions

* Answering payroll queries in a friendly, helpful manner via phone and email

* Working with HMRC and submitting RTI information

* Managing starters, leavers and payroll documents such as P45s and P60s

* Assisting with CIS returns (training available)

What We’re Looking For

You will be an experienced payroll professional who’s comfortable working with high‑volume payrolls and meeting deadlines. A positive attitude, great communication skills and strong attention to detail are key.

Experience with SAGE payroll is a bonus — but not essential.
