proactive and highly professional administrator looking for an opportunity to
work closely with senior leaders and make a real difference to our services
across North Yorkshire?  
An exciting opportunity
has arisen to join North Yorkshire Council as a Senior Leadership Support
Officer, providing direct support to the Corporate Director of Environment and
the wider senior leadership team.

This is a pivotal role
at the heart of one of the Council's largest and most high-profile
directorates. The Environment Directorate delivers services that have a direct
impact on residents and communities across North Yorkshire, including highways,
transport, waste, environmental management and climate-related initiatives.

As a trusted member of
the Leadership Support Service, you will provide comprehensive executive
support, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the senior leadership
team. You will be responsible for managing complex diaries, coordinating
meetings and events, preparing and monitoring correspondence, supporting
governance processes, and handling sensitive information with professionalism
and discretion.

Key responsibilities:

Providing high-level
executive support to the Corporate Director of Environment.

Managing complex
diaries, meetings, travel arrangements and competing priorities.

Coordinating and
tracking various correspondence and requests.

Leading governance
processes, including decision notices, forward planning and statutory
deadlines.

Preparing agendas,
papers and taking accurate minutes at meetings.

Acting as a key point
of contact for senior officers, Elected Members, partners and stakeholders.

Managing sensitive and
confidential information.
Supporting continuous
improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance processes and service
delivery.

Working collaboratively
across Leadership Support to provide seamless support across the Council.

What we are looking for:

Highly organised with
excellent attention to detail.

Experienced in
supporting senior leaders in a busy and demanding environment.

Skilled at managing
conflicting priorities and meeting tight deadlines.

Confident communicating
with a wide range of stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft
Office, Teams, SharePoint and other business systems.

Experienced in minute
taking and managing complex information.

Committed to delivering
excellent customer service.
