Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic with strong knowledge of suspension, steering and wheel alignment?
This York opportunity offers a basic salary of up to £54,500 - £59,500+ DOE, working within a modern, clean and professional accident repair environment.
You'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining suspension and steering systems across a wide range of vehicles, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and completing repairs to a high standard.

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining suspension and steering systems, ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, accurately and to the required standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing suspension and steering faults using diagnostic equipment and test drives
- Repairing and replacing worn or damaged suspension components
- Working on shock absorbers, struts, control arms and associated components
- Carrying out wheel alignment to manufacturer specifications
- Inspecting and servicing steering systems
- Working on steering pumps, racks, linkages and related components
- Carrying out suspension and steering maintenance, including adjustments and lubrication
- Road testing vehicles following repairs
- Ensuring suspension and steering faults have been correctly rectified
- Working efficiently to agreed repair timescales
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
- Ensuring tools and equipment are safe and fit for purpose
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures
This role would suit an experienced Vehicle Suspension & Steering Mechanic / Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic with:
- Proven experience within an automotive repair environment
- Strong suspension and steering knowledge
- Experience with wheel alignment
- Strong general mechanical knowledge
- Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults
- Good understanding of ADAS systems
- Knowledge of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
- Excellent attention to detail
- A methodical approach to repairs
- Ability to complete work from start to finish within set timescales
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
- Strong team working skills
- High standards of workmanship
