This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future – Hybrid Working (1-2 days in the office a week – Bradford/Leeds)

The Commercial – Operations team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

The Sourcing and Contracts Manager is responsible for developing and leading category specific strategies, implementation and contract lifecycle through exit to the next iteration. The role holder will be part of a Commercial – Operations Team leading in the development and delivery of compliant sourcing events. They will be skilled in the use of a broad set of analytical tools and able to identify current and future business opportunities based on their ability to analyse data from multiple sources.

The role holder will collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver industry leading future focussed category and sourcing strategies.

Where you fit in:
As our Sourcing & Contracts Manager you will:
  • Act as the Commercial Subject Matter Expert, providing strategic guidance and influencing key business decisions.
  • Develop and deliver innovative category and sourcing strategies that maximise value, drive efficiencies, and achieve targeted savings.
  • Ensure compliance with the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (UCR
    2016), Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), and internal governance requirements.
  • Build strong, influential relationships with stakeholders across the business to drive commercial success.
  • Lead and manage the category sourcing pipeline, delivering high-quality procurement outcomes.
  • Drive supplier performance and value through effective supplier relationship and contract management processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance commercial and procurement effectiveness.
  • Play a key role in delivering business objectives through strategic procurement and category management expertise.
