Job Description

United Infrastructure is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Water team. As part of a dynamic, fast-growing division, you'll be at the heart of nationally significant infrastructure projects that will shape the UK’s future.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
  • Contract management in line with NEC 3/4 (Options A, B &

    E)
  • Subcontractor negotiations, payments, forecasting and performance tracking
  • Project risk management, reviewing day-to-day project risks
  • Site visits for monthly AFP, sub-contract assessments
  • Deliver accurate and timely budget, cost, and change reporting
  • Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and generate Earned Value Analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation
Qualifications
  • 3 A-levels at minimum BCC grade
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 (grade C or above), including Math, English, and ideally a Science
  • Any previous Level 4 related qualification or equivalent discipline is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Basic understanding of standard methods of measurement
  • Familiarity with the construction industry
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility
  • Willingness to take responsibility for own development and extend knowledge of software packages
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable but not required
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
