Contract: Temporary - urgent cover

Sector: Social Housing/Planned & Retrofit Works

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Liaison Officer to join our client on a temporary basis, providing urgent support to cover staff absence.

This role will be based in the Huddersfield area and will support a planned and retrofit refurbishment programme within a social housing environment.

The project is based across two tower blocks
, with works including window replacements, external wall insulation, new bathrooms, external works and plastering
.

The Role

As the Customer Liaison Officer, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, supporting them throughout planned and retrofit refurbishment works. You will play a key role in keeping residents informed, coordinating access, resolving concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the programme.

You will be working as part of a friendly, established and supportive team, liaising closely with site teams, project managers, trades and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout the works
  • Lead resident and community engagement, building strong relationships with tenants and local communities
  • Deliver clear and effective communication regarding the nature and scope of works
  • Coordinate access arrangements to ensure works are completed smoothly and on schedule
  • Respond to resident enquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically
  • Resolve access-related or resident issues promptly, escalating where required
  • Maintain accurate records of communication, access arrangements and issue resolutions
  • Support tenants throughout the planned and retrofit refurbishment programme
What We're Looking For The Successful Candidate Will Have

Essential Criteria
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations professionally and empathetically
  • Resilience and strong negotiation skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working within social housing
  • Previous Customer Liaison Officer or Tenant Liaison Officer experience
  • CLO/TLO experience would be highly advantageous
