Private Dentist and Clinical Leader - Portman Dentex

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Dentist to take on a dual clinical and leadership role within Portman Dentex, York, combining 2–3 days of clinical practice with dedicated time to lead, influence, and help shape the future direction of the team.

• Work 2–3 days per week clinically within the practice as an Associate Dentist
• Dedicate approximately 4 hours per week to leadership responsibilities within the Practice Clinical Lead function
• Combine hands‑on dentistry with protected time to support team development, clinical standards, and practice performance
• Flexibility to shape your contribution depending on the pathway you choose and practice requirements

  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to drive performance and patient outcomes
  • Shape clinical standards, protocols, and the patient journey
  • Support, mentor, and develop the clinical team
  • Champion governance, best practice, and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to decision‑making and strategic direction

• GDC‑registered dentist with strong clinical experience
