Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology

We have been assigned by one of the UK's NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology on either a substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their Gastroenterology department.

The client is a combined acute and community provider delivering a range of health care services, employing more than 4,200 staff. The trust is undergoing transformation and has received recognition for innovations such as SEPIA (in-house digital system), Acupin Therapy, and Ear Care and Audiology Services.

• Attend formal ward rounds and, as required, outpatient clinics.
• Attend other ward rounds and visits to individual patients as necessary.
• Arrange and assist with special examinations (e.g., X-ray, ECG, Pathology) as appropriate.
• Maintain records required for medical and administrative purposes.
• Communicate fully with patients, relatives, family doctors, and other Health and Social Service colleagues, subject to confidentiality and patient interests.
• Provide duties in emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant, in consultation with colleagues where possible.

The client is based in an area with access to attractive countryside, contemporary leisure, facilities, and extensive retail outlets, with excellent road and rail links to major cities such as Manchester, Leeds, and Birmingham, and easy access to several airports.
