About the role
We are seeking an outstanding Physics teacher to join our dynamic science department and inspire students across our science courses

We can offer you the support to develop your career and the opportunity to teach on a wide range of popular and successful physics courses. The majority of our courses are for students aged 16
-19 years old, with additional programmes for adults and apprentices. Courses include A level, T Level, Access to higher education, HND and apprenticeships. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds and are enthusiastic, committed to their studies, and keen to learn.

You will join a team of experienced physicists who work in close collaboration with the wider science team and the mathematics team. Lessons are delivered in modern physics laboratories, with access to all the equipment required to support practical skill development alongside the delivery of theory. You will be supported in practical activities by a well-qualified specialist physics technician.

About the person
You will be as enthusiastic as we are about teaching physic and able to inspire and share your passion for physics with your students. An ability to contribute to other areas of the science curriculum, including support for science data skills, would be an advantage.

This post is suitable for experienced teachers or those starting their career.

Applicants must have a physics or related degree qualification together with an appropriate teaching qualification.

We would consider an applicant without a teaching qualification if they have suitable alternative experience either in industry or in higher education. For the right applicant we would be able to support you to gain a teaching qualification whilst gaining experience in the classroom.

Ideally, you will be able to start after Easter, but for the right candidate we may be able to be flexible.
