About the role

Calling all CAD/M Computer Aided Design/Manufacturing specialists! Are you a professional CAD draughts person, or a production/manufacturing engineer with CAD/CAM experience, or an engineering CAD/CAM tutor and looking for a new challenge? Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding role where you could be developing the skills, knowledge and professional behaviours of our future engineering workforce?

We are seeking a dynamic, inspirational and enthusiastic individual who would relish the opportunity to share their knowledge, skills and experience with students and apprentices, teaching a range of CAD/CAM/Manufacturing & Production type units across Level 2, 3 (&

This is a rewarding role working with a broad range of students and apprentices, predominantly across Level 2 & 3 programmes, to develop their 2D & 3D CAD & CAM skills (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks, Fusion 360, CNC Lathe/Mill, additive manufacture, laser cutting etc.).

About the person

You may be an experienced FE trainer/tutor, or a newly qualified tutor, but we would certainly encourage applications from those working in this industry too. Experience of manufacturing and production, quality improvement, leading projects/programmes would also be of benefit.

You should have a minimum of a HND in a relevant Engineering discipline, or/and relevant industry standard qualifications and experience. You will ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and/or assessor/IQA awards, or be willing to work towards these with funding support from the College. Recent experience within a manufacturing / engineering industry would be a significant advantage.

* Progression beyond point 12 of the salary scale (£40,407) is subject to Tutors obtaining QTLS. Staff with Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) via the Society for Education and Training (SET) are eligible to receive an enhanced salary of £44,875 - ask us for further details
