SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist School

Pay: £13.69 – £15.75 per hour

Right Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in specialist schools across York supporting pupils with additional needs including ASD, complex learning difficulties, SEMH and communication needs.

These roles are within structured SEN settings where pupils require consistent, hands-on support to access learning and feel safe in school.

You will work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to provide steady, practical support throughout the school day.

The Role

* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

* Assisting with differentiated learning activities

* Supporting emotional regulation and engagement

* Following EHCPs and behaviour support plans

* Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and therapists

* Personal care support where required

Requirements

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (essential)

* Background in specialist schools, mainstream SEN provisions, care or similar settings

* Calm, consistent and resilient approach

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
