Year 5 Teacher to start after half term!

Are you an enthusiastic Teacher ready to inspire young learners and make a real impact in the classroom? I have a vacancy at a lovely primary school in York looking for the right candidate to teach a Year 5 class from after half term until Summer.

I am looking for a motivated and creative Year 5 Teacher to join this school in York. This is a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, and where ECTs are given the guidance and resources to thrive.

This position is for someone who is eager to develop and motivate the children.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 across the Primary Curriculum.
• Support pupils’ academic and personal development through creative teaching.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and calmly.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support pupil success.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with QTS.
• Strong understanding of the Primary Curriculum, particularly for Key Stage 2.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Creative, reflective, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
