Hours: Part-time variable

Hourly rate: £26.51 (unqualified) or £27.68 (qualified) inclusive of holiday pay. (Base: £17.10 / £17.86 per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time.)

We require an outstanding Tutor to join our experienced science and chemistry team, to teach Chemistry on our science courses from September 2026. Lessons are delivered in modern and well‑resourced chemistry laboratories, supported by specialist chemistry technicians.

We can offer support to develop your career and the opportunity to teach on a wide range of popular and successful chemistry courses. Courses include A level, Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, Access to Higher Education, HND and apprenticeships.

Teach Chemistry to students aged 16‑19, as well as adult and apprenticeship programmes. Prepare lesson plans, deliver classroom instruction, provide feedback, assess student progress, and collaborate with the wider science team.

• Hold a Chemistry or related degree qualification.
• Have an appropriate teaching qualification.
• For candidates without a teaching qualification, suitable alternative experience in industry or higher education will be considered, and support to gain a teaching qualification will be provided.

You will be an enthusiastic and student‑centred teacher with a passion for chemistry. This post is suitable for experienced teachers or those starting their career.
