About the roleYork College is looking to appoint an experienced marketing specialist from industry to support the development and delivery of our apprenticeship provision from February 2026, with the opportunity to contribute to the creation of new marketing programmes for the following academic year.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for delivery of the Multi-Channel Marketing pathway, delivering an industry-aligned course that equips learners with practical, analytical, and creative skills needed to succeed in modern digital marketing roles. The course mirrors real-world practice to teach learners how marketing can drive awareness, behaviour change, and commercial results.
The candidate will guide learners through planning, executing, and evaluating multi-channel marketing activity, balancing creative content development with data‑led decision making. They will ensure learners understand how to communicate purpose‑driven messages effectively while meeting business objectives.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons covering social media marketing (Meta, Tik Tok), search and display advertising, email marketing, and website content management, and will teach learners how to create, schedule, and optimise engaging digital content for different platforms and audiences.
QualificationsA strong background in digital and multi‑channel marketing, experience with social media platforms, paid advertising, analytics tools, and content management systems, and the ability to translate industry practice into clear, accessible teaching.
BenefitsBase hourly rate of £17.10 (unqualified) / £17.86 (qualified) per hour, plus holiday and preparation/marking time, giving an approximate hourly rate of £26.51 (unqualified) / £27.68 (qualified) per hour. Membership of Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
