A welcoming secondary school in Rotherham is searching for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join their team. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or you love teaching across all three disciplines, this is an opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, and problem‑solvers.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who believes that great teaching goes beyond textbooks and helps young people develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
What you’ll be doing- Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teach your specialist subject at GCSE level
- Create a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident asking questions
- Bring scientific concepts to life through practical experiments and creative learning
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Support pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential
- Work collaboratively with an experienced and supportive Science department
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and department

We’re looking for someone who:- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
- Has excellent classroom management skills
- Brings energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to lessons
- Believes every student can succeed with the right support
