GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Sheffield
. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education or take the next step towards a teaching career.

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for managing the classroom in the absence of the teacher and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning.

Key Duties of Cover Supervisors:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences and deliver pre-set work.
• Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
• Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide support and guidance to pupils where needed.
• Ensure lessons run smoothly and learning continues effectively.
• Report back to teaching staff on pupil behaviour and progress.
• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or similar setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confident communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and work independently.
• Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
