Are you a passionate Sports Coach who enjoys inspiring children to stay active, engaged, and confident throughout the school day?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated PE & Intervention Coach to work within an inclusive primary school in Sheffield (S12). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone energetic and proactive who is confident supporting both PE lessons and targeted pupil engagement interventions.

As a Physical Education (PE) & Intervention Coach
, you will support the delivery of high-quality physical education, lead active lunchtime sessions, and work with pupils who may require additional encouragement to engage positively in school life.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of engaging PE lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Lead and organise lunchtime and break-time sports and activities.
  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to support pupil engagement and behaviour.
  • Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive participation in physical activity.
  • Support classroom staff in promoting positive behaviour and routines.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to enhance wellbeing and motivation.
Requirements of PE & Intervention Coach:
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or sports coaching setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a positive, energetic attitude is essential.
  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils of all abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
