Overview

GSL Education are searching for a knowledgeable Computer Studies Teacher to join schools across Sheffield, delivering engaging lessons that build strong foundations in computing and digital literacy.

As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured lessons covering topics such as programming, algorithms, and information technology, helping students develop problem-solving skills and confidence in a supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver well-planned Computer Studies lessons aligned with curriculum expectations
  • Support pupils in developing coding, logical reasoning, and technical skills
  • Encourage independent learning through practical computing activities
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Computer Science/ICT in a school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
