Cover Supervisor

Are you a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor ready to take on a role where your organisation, classroom presence, and professionalism make a real difference?

Reeson Education are looking for a capable Cover Supervisor to work in a structured and dynamic school environment in Sheffield (S2). This position suits someone adaptable, organised, and able to manage classroom behaviour while delivering pre-set work effectively.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. You will follow lesson plans provided and maintain a focused and disciplined classroom environment.

• Lesson Supervision:
  Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure pupils stay on task with their work.
• Classroom Management:
  Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school policies.
• Student Engagement:
  Encourage participation and support pupils in completing assigned tasks.
• Progress Monitoring:
  Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil performance and behaviour.
• Professional Coordination:
  Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

• Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A calm, confident approach when managing groups and handling challenging situations.
• A proactive and reliable work ethic.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness through Reeson Education.
