If so, Randstad Education wants to hear from you. We are currently recruiting a proactive and versatile SEN Teaching Assistant for a full:time position starting in September 2026. This is an ongoing, long:term temporary role operating across multiple specialist school sites in the Leeds area.
Hours: Full:time, Monday to Friday (Term:time only)
Start Date: September 2026 (Ongoing)
Pay Rate: GBP
90.42 : GBP
97.96 per day

About The SchoolThey are a highly regarded Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) dedicated to providing a supportive, stimulating, and safe environment for pupils with wide:ranging Special Educational Needs (SEN). Operating across multiple sites within Leeds, they cater to a diverse community of learners with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties. They focus heavily on individual progress, independence, and communication, ensuring every student feels valued.
The team there is exceptionally collaborative, welcoming, and entirely committed to holistic education.
- A highly adaptable mindset and the willingness to work comfortably across different school sites as required.
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with complex needs, such as autism, physical disabilities, or severe learning difficulties.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to connect with non:verbal or communication:impaired pupils effectively.
- A calm, patient, and professional approach when navigating challenging situations or emotional barriers to learning.
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils to ensure they can fully access the curriculum and specialised facilities.
- Assisting class teachers across different sites in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe, positive environment.
- Supporting students with physical mobility, sensory regulation, and personal care needs throughout the school day.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, boosting their self:esteem, and strictly adhering to all safeguarding protocols.
- Right to Work:
Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role). - DBS:
An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad. - Experience:
Previous experience working with children or young adults within a UK educational or care setting.
