Pay: £150–£200 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time / Part-time, Day-to-day / Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are inviting applications from History Teachers to join schools in Wakefield WF12
. The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, a creative approach to teaching, and the ability to encourage students to explore the past while developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
The History Teacher will play a key role in helping students understand historical events, evaluate evidence, and appreciate how the past continues to shape the modern world.
History Teacher Responsibilities- Deliver engaging History lessons that inspire curiosity and academic achievement
- Encourage students to analyze historical sources and develop independent thinking
- Plan lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment where discussion and debate are encouraged
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and departmental success
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting is desirable
- Secure knowledge of the History curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Ability to motivate learners through engaging and well-structured lessons
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
