GSL Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join amazing schools in Wakefield WF7. We are looking for a patient and enthusiastic individual who can provide tailored classroom support, encourage student engagement, and help learners develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed.

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils during classroom activities
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Adapt support to meet the individual needs of learners with varying abilities
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independent learning
• Monitor student progress and share observations with teaching staff when appropriate
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well‑organised learning environment

• Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
• Patient, flexible, and committed to supporting individual learning needs
• Positive approach to behaviour management and student wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
