About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics tutor to join our team, focusing on GCSE classes for 16‑18‑year‑old students. The role involves not only teaching, but also inspiring confidence, sparking curiosity and supporting learners to reach their full academic potential. Your guidance will play a vital role in helping students progress towards their future goals.

About the person
  • Strong foundation in Mathematics, holding at least a Level 3 qualification; a relevant degree or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) is desirable, or readiness to work towards one with support.
  • Experience delivering GCSE Mathematics, ideally within a further education setting.
  • Familiarity with the new 9–1 GCSE Mathematics specification and experience teaching Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills (post‑2019) to diverse learners.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, and a strong commitment to teamwork and student success.
