Welding & Fabrication Tutor – West Yorkshire

Full‑time, permanent position.

We are looking for a skilled welding & fabrication tutor to join our engineering department. The successful candidate will deliver workshop‑based training to learners and conduct vocational assessments.

• Deliver hands‑on welding & fabrication training in a workshop environment.
• Prepare and administer vocational assessments for students.
• Work with learners aged under 18 or vulnerable adults, where required, following safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments.
• Collaborate with other staff on curriculum development and training delivery.

• A Level 3 qualification in Welding.
• Industry experience in welding & fabrication.
• Current or eligible to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

• The education provider may sponsor a teaching qualification on the job, with a lower initial salary of up to £36,000.
• New teachers are eligible for a government subsidy of up to £6,000 per annum after 12 months, for a period of five years.

• Salary: £33,000 to £43,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Teacher’s pension: 28.68% employer contributions.
• Holiday allowance: 42 days, including Bank Holidays.
• In‑house training and professional development.
