Dearne Valley College is seeking an enthusiastic, forward‑thinking Lecturer in Criminology, Youth Justice and Public Services. • Lead and moderate: take ownership of course modules and ensure high‑quality internal moderation.
• Engage the community: champion student recruitment, track progress, and connect with parents and stakeholders.
• Set SMART targets: manage student progress and bring real‑world criminology and public‑service concepts to life.
• Design vibrant, creative resources that blend real‑world case studies, theoretical frameworks, and digital teaching methods to equip learners with critical analytical skills, psychological insights, and ethical behaviours.
• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to translate strategic academic visions into impactful, engaging classroom realities.

• Hold a vocational qualification at Level 5 or above, and a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to pursue these.
• Hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or be willing to pursue these.

You will work as part of the curriculum team of Sport and Public Services at Dearne Valley College, taking direction from the Curriculum Team Leader and line managed by the Curriculum Manager.
