Job Summary:

Are you an experienced, high-performing lecturer or course leader ready to take your first step into operational leadership? Do you have a passion for driving academic excellence and inspiring both staff and students to reach their full potential? This college is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and proactive Curriculum Performance Lead (CPL) to join their team. As a first-line leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our inclusive curriculum, ensuring our provision aligns with local, regional, and national skills needs for a sustainable future.

This dual-element role combines operational leadership with a small teaching commitment (approximately 12 hours per week). You will lead a dedicated team of lecturers, assessors, and technicians across various provisions, including Study Programmes, Adult Learners, Higher Level Skills, Commercial, and Apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Curriculum Manager in aligning curriculum intent with local, regional, and national skills needs.
  • Manage lecturers, assessors, and technicians, providing direction and performance reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching quality through coaching and compliance with quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee student progression, attendance, and outcomes, implementing early intervention strategies.
  • Lead the development of new curriculum initiatives aligned with industry needs.
  • Plan and allocate staffing resources and manage budgets for effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance curriculum relevance.
Qualifications:
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or willingness to undertake).
  • Recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or higher.
  • Professionally relevant qualification at Level 3 within Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • Assessor's award (A1/CAVA) is advantageous.
  • IQA or willingness to undertake is preferable.
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience as a lecturer or course leader in engineering or electrical installations.
  • Proven track record of excellent educational outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum intent, quality assurance processes, and data tracking within Further Education.
  • Empathetic, coaching-focused leadership style to motivate staff and build independent learners.
  • Collaborative professional ready to work cross-campus and participate in project working groups.
