Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic English GCSE Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.

This is a part time temporary role, 4 full days per week, Monday
- Thursday to start Thursday 10th September - 12th November initially.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English GCSE lessons to post-16 learners, supporting them to achieve their full academic potential. The successful candidate will be confident in planning, delivering and assessing GCSE English lessons in line with current awarding body requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective GCSE English lessons
Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans aligned to the curriculum
Assess, track and monitor learner progress
Provide constructive feedback and support to learners
Prepare students for exams in line with Edexcel 2.0 specifications
Maintain accurate records in line with internal and external quality standards

Essential Requirements

Proven experience delivering GCSE English
Strong knowledge of Edexcel 2.0 specification
Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / DET or equivalent)
Degree in English or a related subject
Strong classroom management skills

Desirable

Experience teaching within Further Education
Experience supporting resit learners

Candidate must have a current DBS
