Salary: Up to £200 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate Primary Teacher who enjoys helping children build strong foundations for their learning? A welcoming primary school in Shefflied is looking for a committed teacher to join their team from September.

About the Role:

As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils across the primary curriculum. You will create a positive classroom environment, adapt your teaching to support different abilities and use effective assessment to track progress.

You will also work closely with colleagues to ensure pupils receive consistent support and opportunities to develop both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching and learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.
  • Use effective questioning and assessment to support learning.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-structured classroom environment.
  • Manage behaviour consistently in line with school policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils' learning and development.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

To work with GSL Education as a Primary Teacher, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
