GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking an organised and supportive Learning Manager to work with a school in Wakefield (WF1). This role is ideal for someone who can coordinate learning support, encourage student engagement and help maintain high standards across the learning environment.

Your role as a Learning Manager:
  • Support students in accessing and engaging with their learning.
  • Monitor student progress, attendance and participation where required.
  • Help coordinate learning activities and support programmes.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to identify students' needs.
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and personal development.
  • Help maintain clear expectations and effective learning routines.
  • Communicate relevant progress or concerns with appropriate staff.
Requirements for the Learning Manager role:
  • Previous experience in a school, education or learning support environment is desirable.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting students would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage young people.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach is essential for being a Learning Manager.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Dedicated consultant support.
  • Access to suitable education opportunities across South Yorkshire.
