Adult & Community Learning Skills CoachCommunity based delivery across South Yorkshire, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley
to £32k Permanent Full Time, 25 days hol plus bank holidays, christmas and birthday off, Healthcare, vouchers, team events, progression opportunities
The Adult & Community Learning Skills Coach will deliver high quality teaching, assessment, and learner support across a range of short, community-based adult learning programmes
funded through the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) Adult Skills Fund (ASF). Delivery will take place across community venues and programmes will range from short courses (minimum 15 days) to longer programmes (up to 20 weeks). The role supports adults aged 19+, many of whom may face complex barriers to learning, including mental health challenges, autism, low confidence, unemployment, or previous negative experiences of education.

As our clients Community and Adult Learning Skills Coach you will deliver and assess programmes including (but not limited to):
- Autism Awareness
- Mental Health (Adults & Children)
Programmes may be accredited or non-accredited, depending on contract requirements
We are looking for ;
Experience delivering adult or community-based learning
- Knowledge of Adult Skills Fund (ASF) / AEB funding
- Understanding of Ofsted expectations for adult learning
- Experience working with learners with complex barriers, including autism and mental health needs
- Confident using ePortfolio systems and digital tools
- Strong communication, organisation, and time-management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and learner wellbeing
- Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, or equivalent)
- Assessing qualification (TAQA or equivalent)
- Experience delivering wellbeing, leadership, or business-related provision
