Are you a dedicated SEN Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the classroom? A supportive school in Rotherham is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to help pupils achieve their individual learning goals and develop their confidence.

As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs. You’ll create accessible learning opportunities, adapt teaching approaches where required and use assessment to monitor progress and inform future planning.

Working closely with support staff and other colleagues, you’ll contribute to a positive classroom environment where pupils feel supported, challenged and able to make progress.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEN.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.
• Establish clear routines and maintain positive classroom behaviour.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and other school staff.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and relevant professionals regarding pupil needs and progress.
• Contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs.
• Strong knowledge of differentiated teaching and classroom practice.
• Effective behaviour management and communication skills.
• A patient, adaptable and inclusive approach to teaching.
• Commitment to supporting pupils to achieve their individual potential.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
