Quality Engineer ; local - Huntington

As an experienced Quality Engineer you will lead the resolution of product quality issues and drive improvements through analysis, problem-solving and collaboration. Monitor and interpret quality performance measures.
Role Details:
Annual salary up to 40,000 - dependent on skills and experience.
On-target annual bonus of up to 5%, with the potential to earn up to a maximum of 10% based on business and departmental performance

Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.

Problem-solve quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing opportunities for improvement.
Measure, verify and inspect materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
Undertake internal supplier and process audits and support external audits, ensuring non-conformities or observations are closed out.
Act as a Quality ambassador by delivering training, coaching and sharing best practice across teams.
Coordinate cross-functional problem-solving activities, facilitating meetings and driving actions.
Create reports and presentation materials, providing quality analysis and supporting senior-level quality reviews.
Liaise between departments and engage with suppliers and the supply chain on quality matters.
Complete quality reports, problem escalations and concession documentation, supporting stakeholders to do the same.

Acts as an ambassador for Quality, including training, coaching, sharing best practice and generally supporting at all levels
Ability to read and understand design, engineering, manufacturing and measurement, including the ability to read drawings, apply geometric tolerancing and use measurement techniques.
Has knowledge of Quality Systems e.g. ISO
9001
Understands problems solving and continuous improvement techniques

Experience of data collection and analysis
HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
A full UK driving licence

Experience of data analysis, statistical techniques and presentation skills

Experience of problem solving, root cause analysis with knowledge of continuous process improvement
