Graduate Materials Verification & Quality Coordinator – West Yorkshire

We are supporting a leading engineering organisation in the search for a Graduate Materials Verification & Quality Coordinator to join their team working on complex, high‑specification products within a regulated manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain hands‑on experience across quality assurance, material verification, technical compliance, and manufacturing processes whilst working alongside experienced engineering and quality professionals.

• Review and verify material and component documentation to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
• Assess material specifications, test certificates, and supporting quality documentation.
• Support and maintain quality processes and management systems.
• Assist with quality concerns and non‑conformance activities, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved effectively.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and support the preparation of customer documentation.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal departments to investigate and resolve material or process‑related issues.
• Assist with auditing activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce reports and quality metrics to support operational performance.

• Degree qualified (or due to graduate) in a relevant discipline such as:
• Materials Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Aerospace Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Metallurgy
• Chemical Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Strong interest in quality, manufacturing, materials, or engineering compliance.
• Ability to interpret technical information and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications.

• Placement year, internship, university project, or industrial experience within manufacturing or engineering.
• Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including material testing, heat treatment, machining, or inspection processes.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems would be advantageous.
