Graduate Materials Verification & Quality Coordinator – West Yorkshire
Are you a recent Engineering or Materials Science graduate looking to launch your career within a highly regulated manufacturing environment? We are supporting a leading engineering organisation in the search for a Graduate Materials Verification & Quality Coordinator to join their team working on complex, high‑specification products within a regulated manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain hands‑on experience across quality assurance, material verification, technical compliance, and manufacturing processes whilst working alongside experienced engineering and quality professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Review and verify material and component documentation to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
- Assess material specifications, test certificates, and supporting quality documentation.
- Support and maintain quality processes and management systems.
- Assist with quality concerns and non‑conformance activities, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved effectively.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support the preparation of customer documentation.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal departments to investigate and resolve material or process‑related issues.
- Assist with auditing activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce reports and quality metrics to support operational performance.
- Degree qualified (or due to graduate) in a relevant discipline such as:
- Materials Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Metallurgy
- Chemical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Strong interest in quality, manufacturing, materials, or engineering compliance.
- Ability to interpret technical information and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
- Placement year, internship, university project, or industrial experience within manufacturing or engineering.
- Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including material testing, heat treatment, machining, or inspection processes.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems would be advantageous.
