Multi‑Skilled Engineer – Doncaster – Up to £43,900 + Overtime – Days & Nights Rotation – No Weekends
Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a growing organisation within their manufacturing operation in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer to join a leading global manufacturer. The role is ideally suited to candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, extrusion, injection moulding or automated environments who are looking for a long‑term engineering career.
Responsibilities- Carrying out reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maintain production performance.
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules across manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and mechanical faults using effective fault‑finding techniques.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and engineering documentation.
- Supporting the implementation of safe working practices in line with company procedures and legislation.
- Assisting with engineering projects and equipment upgrades across the site.
- Supporting Lead Engineers with workplace organisation and engineering standards.
- Mentoring engineering apprentices within the maintenance department.
- Attending daily engineering meetings, weekly RCA reviews and monthly energy meetings.
- Previous experience as a qualified Engineer, preferably with a mechanical bias within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of automated assembly systems, extrusion or injection moulding.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
- ONC qualified and/or Apprentice Trained Engineer (essential).
- HNC qualification in an Engineering discipline (desirable).
- Week 1:
Monday & Tuesday Days, Thursday & Friday Nights - Week 2:
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Days - Week 3:
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Nights
- Salary of £43,900 per annum.
