Senior Geotechnical​/Geoenvironmental Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a SENIOR GEOTECHNICAL / GEOENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER for a client based in Sheffield. This offers opportunity to work on geotechnical and land contamination projects across sectors including infrastructure, development, regeneration, energy and local authority projects.

• Planning and conducting Phase 2 investigations, including risk assessments, intrusive site investigations, compliance with health and safety & CDM requirements.
• Data interpretation, reporting, design, site supervision of remediation and earthworks projects.
• Supervision of drilling, excavation, gas and groundwater monitoring, groundwater and surface water sampling.
• Geotechnical design including slope stability and settlement analysis.
• Preparation of earthworks specifications, remediation strategies and validation reports.
• Supporting management with fee proposals and supporting documentation.
• Supervising less experienced engineers.

• Academic: BSc in Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or similar; MSc advantageous.
• Experience:
  
  Approximately seven years of relevant experience, including work with engineering consultancies in the UK.
• Chartered status or working towards it.
• Experience with Open Ground logging software.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
