£40-53k + fully expensed vehicle (including private mileage/maintenance/insurance) + annual discretionary company bonus, typicall 10-15% of basic salary per year
Samuel Frank is now recruiting for a multi-skilled Service Engineer to join a very well-established and growing company in West Yorkshire. This opportunity could suit an electrically biased Service Engineer with 3-5 years relevant machinery type experience, right up to a seasoned, established Service Engineer with 10+ years’ experience.
Key aspects of the Service Engineer role include;- Strong electrical fault-finding experience & electrically qualified – essential
- Used to a travelling role as a Service Engineer
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Need to travel and stay away from home as required – 80% of travel will be there and back in the same day. The Service Manager estimates roughly 2 nights per week could be an overnight stop over.
- Experience of working on special purpose machinery as a Service Engineer would be extremely useful, particularly packaging or wrapping machines
- National coverage – medium to heavy mileage expected
- Ideally Located within 1 hour of Halifax / Dewsbury / Huddersfield
- Weekend on-call support – 1 week in 6 rota cover – extremely rare to be called, even rarer to have to go to site
- As a rough guide, the Service Manager estimates the working week will average 50 hours including your travel time and site work with early finishes on Fridays the norm
- Annual salary review for all employees and the annual bonus pays, on average, 10-15% of the basic salary.
- The vehicle provided will be a Ford Ranger/Toyota Hilux style truck which is economically classed in terms of Benefit in Kind and the company will finance all associated costs including all private mileage, maintenance tyres etc. and insurance.
- 20 days holiday per year floating + Christmas/New Year shutdown days + Bank Holidays
The client’s premises are ideally located and are commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax and Barnsley with good links to the M1 and M62.
