Interim Management Accountant – Rotherham – ASAP Start – Office based
OverviewAs a Management Accountant, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and make a real impact. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will provide continuity within the finance function and drive business growth.
Working hours- Fully office‑based 8am‑5pm (Rotherham)
- Full ownership of management accounting
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
- Oversee COGS, labour costs, bonus calculations, payroll support, and overheads including prepayments and accruals
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support business performance
- Assist with year‑end audit and statutory reporting
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Business partnering with operations and sales teams to drive financial understanding and accountability
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate cost tracking and performance reporting
- Experience in accounting with a partially completed professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred; exceptional experience also considered)
- Strong technical accounting expertise
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management and staff
- High level of IT proficiency
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable approach to changing situations
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
