This role will start in Bradford and relocate to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026. Hybrid working – 2‑3 days in office per week, occasional travel within Yorkshire.

Finance Business Partner – Wholesale Finance team.
We provide essential water and wastewater services to over 5.4 million residents and millions of visitors. Our finance team plans and delivers business objectives, ensuring value for customers, stakeholders and the environment.
As our Finance Business Partner, you will:- Own the day‑to‑day financial performance of the Asset Management function – budgeting, forecasting, reporting and insight.
- Deliver high‑quality statutory, regulatory and commercial reporting, ensuring decisions are informed, robust and value‑focused.
- Act as a key member of the Management Team, challenging and collaborating to drive performance and continuous improvement.
- Develop challenging yet deliverable financial plans, balancing risk, affordability, efficiency and long‑term asset performance.
- Provide financial insight to support decision‑making, investment prioritisation and delivery of key performance and regulatory commitments.
- Maintain strong governance and financial controls.
- Support long‑term investment planning and price review processes to ensure operational and investment plans submitted to Ofwat are robust, evidence‑based and aligned to priorities.
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (or studying towards one) or equivalent experience in a commercial, financial or regulatory environment.
- At least 2 years of experience partnering within complex organisations or across intricate business models.
- Understanding of regulatory finance, particularly in the water sector.
- Confidence to challenge existing ways of working and drive improvements that improve outcomes.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Experience with budgeting, rolling forecasts and financial planning cycles.
- Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
