Assistant Management Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity within the Retail sector for a part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), or someone looking to begin their studies, to join a finance team during an exciting phase of growth. In your role as Assistant Management Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and gain a comprehensive understanding of the business across all areas.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts Supporting the production of budgets and forecasts Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies Assisting with accruals and prepayments Analysing financial performance and providing commentary on variances Supporting month-end and year-end close processes Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity Assisting with audit processes and providing required documentation Collaborating with other departments to gather financial information Supporting ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required As you grow within the position, there is a clear pathway to progress internally and become a fully qualified Management Accountant.

The ideal candidate will either be currently studying towards, or interested in pursuing, a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification. Previous experience in Management Accounts, or in roles such as Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant, is desirable, along with a strong motivation to further develop your accounting skills.
