Finance Manager & Business Partner

Job summaryNHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is
seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager and Business Partner to
join our finance team. This is an important role within the finance
directorate, supporting the delivery of robust financial management, budgetary
control, financial planning and reporting across a designated portfolio of
budgets and contracts. Working as part of a professional and supportive team,
you will provide high-quality financial advice and analysis to budget holders,
commissioning colleagues and contracting leads, helping to ensure resources are
used effectively and services are commissioned in line with the ICB's strategic
priorities.

Main duties of the jobAs a Finance Manager and Business Partner,
you will lead the production of month-end reporting for your portfolio,
including forecasting, planning and analysis of complex trends. You will
support budget setting, contribute to annual and medium-term financial
planning, and help prepare information for statutory financial returns, annual
accounts, NHS England monthly returns, FOIs and other key reporting
requirements. The role will involve interpreting complex financial information,
investigating variances, identifying risks and opportunities, and presenting
clear and timely advice to finance and non-finance colleagues.

This is also a business partnering role,
working closely with colleagues across the ICB in a matrixed environment to
support transformation, value for money and financial sustainability. Depending
on portfolio allocation, the role may include areas such as healthcare
contracting, individual placements and continuing healthcare, primary care and
prescribing, corporate budgets, financial services, capital or estates. You
will have the opportunity to support pathway design, contract monitoring,
activity modelling, efficiency planning, forecasting and the development of
improved financial systems, processes and reporting tools.
