Finance Assistant

We’re currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team on an ongoing temporary basis. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and financial records are maintained to a high standard.

• Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Handling supplier payments, expenses and financial transactions.
• Performing bank, supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Investigating discrepancies and resolving finance-related queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and updating accounting systems.
• Supporting month-end processes and the preparation of financial reports.
• Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries.
• Providing general administrative support to the wider finance team.

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role would be advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• A proactive approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a finance environment.

• Salary of £27,000–£30,000 per annum.
