Executive Support Officer

We are seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer to provide high-level support to a senior leader in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.

This is a highly visible and externally facing role, requiring excellent organisation, discretion and the ability to manage changing priorities at short notice. You will manage a complex diary, coordinate meetings, briefings, events and engagements, and act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders including MPs, elected representatives, government departments, businesses, community representatives, Police and Fire.

You will also manage sensitive and high-profile matters, coordinate correspondence and actions, respond to urgent issues and ensure priorities are progressed effectively.

About You

You will have:

* Essential experience supporting a senior leader within a political or public sector environment.

* Experience managing complex diaries, competing priorities and demanding workloads.

* Strong judgement and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Experience handling sensitive, confidential or high-profile issues.

* The ability to anticipate risks, identify emerging issues and escalate appropriately.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* The confidence to take ownership, make decisions within delegated authority and drive work forward.

* The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
